That's right, I will be away for the New Year with the family. And what better way to celebrate the New Year with the family...AT DISNEY! W00t!
So I hope everyone has a very Happy New Year~ No driving out with the crazies though! D< Last thing I need to read when coming back is that one of my buddies has gotten into an accident when I'm gone!
Well, as everyone knows, the holidays are coming even CLOSER now. Thankfully I'm pretty much half-way done with my Christmas shopping! Woo hoo!
Then... I start to remember what happens shortly after Christmas. DISNEY WORLD. That's right, my ENTIRE family and I are going to celebrate the New Year with the mouse~. It's going to be really fun since it'll be my nieces' and nephews' first time down there. Oh the joy! Oh the excitement! Oh how I'm gonna be dragged by the kiddles XD; Ah well. So there won't be any new stuff from me during the last week of December 28 - January 4. Just to give you guys a heads up =3.
And if you guys didn't know, I'm looking to be in Artist Alley at ACen 2010 along with some buddies of mine. Hopefully we were able to register on time <_<; Till then, I'll be mostly putting up some of the ink art of the pics I plan to sell. I got two up already (ie Peach and Rosalina) and I still have a whole heck of a lot to do x_x. I'm trying to get a good mix of characters/series, but not too much that I'll feel overhauled... Though I already am starting to feel the pressure.
The plan is, so far, to make these as note card sized pictures and sell em for about... I'd say 2 bucks each. I figure small would be easier to do and I'd be able to put multiple images on one piece of paper rather than one image per paper!
Aside from those, I also plan to sell some of my Checkout Lane comics by the comic rather than the entire thing. Makes life a little easier I think. I haven't really decided any prices on those....I might give people a deal if they buy a certain number of comics.
Any suggestions will definitely help me out on this since it's my first time o_o;
So thank you guys in advance! And if I don't post up a new journal, Have a very Merry/Happy Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Boxing Day, and New Year!
Well, got some major things going on here. 1) I have finally reached 50 regular Checkout Lane comics! (with extras and holiday ones it is 64~.) Major accomplishment there~ I do admit that I had been procrastinating on getting it done. Mostly because I was thinking that when I got to my 50th regular comic that I would look into getting Checkout Lane published.
Yeah... I haven't gotten too far on the publishing part. I think I'll get to it once I get a cover design done. That would be VERY important o_o;
2)I have just celebrated my birthday! I'm almost to a 1/4 of a century old now ;o;! Even though it was FREEZING out today, I was able to have a very Happy Birthday <3. And to my suprise, my work even gave me a little present the day before! I got a little chocolate cake, a card, and a $10 gift card! Totally made my day <3
I am currently working on a birthday comic of Checkout Lane too. I was gonna have it up on my actual birthday (December 10th) but.... yeah XD; I'll have it up soon enough.
I got back from a downtown artist meeting and I definitely got a lot of exposure for Checkout Lane! I couldn't believe all the people crowding around to see my stuff (as scattered around as it was XD)! It totally gave me a big boost in my ego to find that people in the area are interested in my comic too! I swear I was going to explode with happiness <3.
I'm also glad I had some buddies with me there too. Otherwise I'm sure I would have felt a little awkward sitting by myself with my pile of papers n_n;. Thanks Becka and Michael!
That's right, I'm almost at 22,222 page views! So keep a look out for that lucky number! If you get to it, be sure to send me a note that you got that page-view along with your request pic idea...thingy.
-UPDATE-
WE HAVE A WINNER!
Since I didn't officaly get any notes/comments on this journal about getting the 22,222 kiriban, I hereby declare as the winner since he was the first one to contact me about it. So yay!
